Same actions, same results : Try something different

Your career won't change if you don't

Some of you might already be on vacation, and sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to reset.
Some of us want a full break, don’t talk about work, nothing (I was a bit like that, until…).
Others use this time to clear their heads and think about what’s next.

You know what? This is the PERFECT time.
don’t get me started on this: we all know that, when September hits (the “back-to-school” wave) it’s a tsunami: kids, back-to-work, routine, commute... And it sweeps us up before we even notice.

Where it all started for me…

I remember the summer of 2022.
I wanted everything to change.

I started listening to podcasts (find my favorite ones at the bottom of this article)
First about personal development.
Then about professional ambitions.
Then about career coaching.

The job market wasn’t any easier back then than it is now. The past few months have been tough: layoffs everywhere, across industries, from the top down.

My one piece of advice? Be prepared. Always have a plan B. It took me 3 years to reset career and start getting paid from what I love

The expat vibe is just… different.

Even with great friends, the isolation is real. The questions about identity are real.
Have you felt it too?

Who do you turn to when you have to make big decisions? Especially career decisions?
That’s exactly where I was. I had to admit that for the first time in ages I couldn’t question anyone but myself.

What I learned from my personal coach

  • Confidence grows when you start taking action, not before.

  • Asking for help is not a weakness – it’s a strength.

  • Small steps every day will take you further than one big, impossible plan.

No BS here: the biggest game-changer for me was getting coached for a few months.

Best ROI I have ever made, seriously.

The 3 Tools I still use today

  1. The 1% rule : What tiny thing can I do today that gets me closer to my goal?

  2. The “Why not?” question : Every time I feel stuck, I ask, “Why not me? Why not now?”

  3. The reset routine : Journaling or just 10 minutes in the morning to set my intention for the day.

Where it could all start for you

I only have one word: START , wherever you are.

  • Stuck in a job you can’t stand? Take one step to explore something new.

  • Have a business idea you’ve been dreaming about? Write down what the 1st step would look like.

  • Thinking about quitting and resetting your career? Start by having that first honest conversation with yourself.

Don’t look at the mountain. Look at the very first milestone.
Before running a marathon, you start with 1 km, then 2, then 5.

Stepping out of your comfort zone is where change happens.

A quick exercise to try this week

Each morning, ask yourself:

  • What is one thing I can do today that my future self will thank me for?

Write it down. Do it. Repeat.

Your future you will thank you: I promise.

If you want a different outcome you need to do something different - as simple as that:

If you want to take your career to the next level, it’s time to invest in yourself.

Some people go back to university for an MBA at 40, 45, or even 50.
Whatever your path, you need to plan ahead and have a clear strategy.

So, how are you going to invest in yourself today?

The Career coaching program I have created will give you the strategies and tools you need to get crystal clear on where you’re heading – and how to get there.
Bonus (straight from my clients): you’ll walk out of each session feeling energized and pumped! and it’s 50% of your success

I’ve opened 10 career coaching spots for a post-summer reset this September / 2 are already gone
